MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Wrong-Way Driver Kills Motorcyclist
November 29, 2010
Ortega Highway – A 61-year-old Anaheim man died after his motorcycle crashed into a wrong-way BMW near Lake Elsinore Sunday morning, authorities said.
Investigators said Kenneth Brant was reportedly riding his eastbound motorcycle east of the San Juan Creek around 9 am when the driver of the BMW heading the opposite direction got into his lane for unknown reasons.
Brant died and the BMW driver was rushed to the hospital for the serious injuries he sustained in the crash.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident.
No arrests were made but authorities are investigating whether manslaughter charges would be filed against the driver.
