Woman Drowned in Huntington Harbor Because She was Drunk
July 14, 2009
Huntington Beach - The Sheriff’s Department has announced that Anna Krivenkoff of La Habra whose body was found floating in Huntington Beach, drowned because she was drunk.
On March 26, 2009, the police responded to a call from Turc’s Bar about a large pool of blood and vomit and the trail led to Krivenkoff’s boat which was docked at Peter’s Landing Marina.
The 45-year woman was found face-down in the water and had an injury on her forehead. The police initially considered it a crime scene. Authorties could also not identify where Krivenkoff got the alcohol or where she was drinking.
Orange County sheriff's spokesman, Jim Amormino said that the toxicology reports which usually take around six to eight weeks, revealed that Krivenkoff died of saltwater drowning due to acute alcohol intoxication. Her blood alcohol level was more than four times than the legal amount which is 0.08.
The authorities however, have ruled that her death was an accident and that no further criminal investigation is necessary. The injury she had on her forehead was also determined as not the cause of her death.
