Woman Dies after Running Stop Sign, Two Injured

Kerman – The California Highway Patrol has reported the death of a 33-year-old woman, and the injuries of two others, after she ran a stop sign along North Howard Avenue and hit an approaching vehicle Thursday night.
The woman was identified by authorities as Maria Escalara of Kerman.
Reports indicate that Escalara was heading south at around 11 p.m. when her vehicle collided with a westbound vehicle travelling along West Shields Avenue.
The woman in the vehicle heading west was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatments of her major injuries. A man she was with has sustained minor injuries. Authorities are yet to release their identities.
