Wildcat Canyon Road Crash Kills Florida Man

East County – A 36-year old Florida man was killed in a head-on collision in Wildcat Canyon Road near the Barona Indian Reservation Tuesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported.
The county Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Keith Gregory Sexton who had been to San Diego on business.
The car accident was reported at about 12:45 p.m. The collision occurred after a 2004 Chevrolet pickup crossed over the double yellow line onto incoming traffic in Wildcat Canyon near Casa de Carol Road.
The truck struck the 1988 Chevrolet pickup that Sexton was driving, pushing it off the roadway.
Sexton’s pickup stopped on a dirt embankment, the CHP said.
According to authorities, Sexton was not wearing a seatbelt during the collision.
Sexton was pronounced dead on the scene.
