Universal Studios Escalator Injures Eight

Los Angeles, CA - Eight people were injured after an escalator unexpectedly went into reverse, hurling visitors off their feet at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park last Monday.
Universal spokesman Eliot Sekuler said the accident occurred at about 4 p.m. on an escalator that leads from the lower rides at Studio Center up to the rest of the theme park.
Victims were brought to a hospital for treatments and evaluation.
Sekuler added that mechanics and officials are investigating the incident.
