VEHICLE COLLISION: Unidentified Elderly Driver Dies in Irvine Collision

Irvine - A 77-year-old unidentified female driver died after she collided with a van along an intersection, said Irvine police.
The accident occurred along Farwell Avenue and Culver Drive intersection at around 1:20 p.m.
According to reports, the elderly driver was moving east on Farwell when her vehicle was suddenly broadsided by a van that was moving south on Culver. Authorities have not yet determined who between the two drivers had the right of way.
The two vehicles were not carrying passengers when the collision occurred. No one else was injured in the accident, said reports.
