Poughkeepsie- At least two people were killed after a plane accident near Dutchess County Airport on Tuesday at 2:15 p.m.
According to reports, the single-engine Cessna 172 was on "touch and go" signal when it encountered mechanical trouble minutes after taking off on Runway 24. The plane crashed onto a field near Route 376.
At least two people who were on board suffered serious injuries. Paramedics arrived and transported them to a local hospital, reports said.
Authorities are still investigating the details on the cause of accident. The Millbrook Flight LLC has owned and operated the Cessna 172.
