HEAD-ON-COLLISION: Two Injured in DUI-Related Head-On Collision
October 7, 2010
Sonoma County - At least two people were injured after a suspected DUI driver collided head-on with another vehicle outside of Petaluma, said reports.
The driver Heidi Reid, 35, was traveling west along Chileno Valley Road at around 55 mph when she approached a Honda Civic that was moving eastbound.
Reid’s Mitsubishi Gallant then crossed the center divider and collided with the Honda Civic driven by Aran Harris.
Reports said Reid was not wearing her seatbelt properly at the time of the crash. She sustained severe facial abrasions and lacerations. Meanwhile, Harris suffered from leg and internal injuries.
Both drivers were rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Authorities then arrested Reid on suspicion of DUI.
