TRUCK ACCIDENT: Truck Crashed Near Day Care Center after Fatal Accident

Sacramento -- A garbage truck has hit a fixture outside a children’s day care center after colliding with an installation van in Folsom Boulevard which resulted to one fatality, authorities said.

Reports indicate that the garbage truck was heading west near Florin Perkins Road when the eastbound satellite television installation van made a turn in front of it. The collision caused the Dish Network van to overturn and the truck to head to the direction of the day care center where it hit a metal drive-through.

The driver of the van who was identified as a Dish Network technician died while no one was reportedly injured in the day care center.

The driver of the garbage truck was extricated from his vehicle and was transported to UC Davis Medical Center where his condition remains to be critical. His identity wasn’t released.
