Train Collision Injures Motorist in South Sacramento

Sacramento –The driver of the passenger vehicle was injured after colliding with a railroad train Monday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports indicate that around 5:18 a.m., the vehicle had rammed into the train at Florin Road east of 29th Street.

The unidentified driver has sustained moderate and non-life threatening injuries and was brought to a local hospital.

Authorities are still conducting a thorough investigation of the crash.
