Three vehicles crashed on 405 Freeway, One Injured

San Fernando Valley – A woman was injured in a vehicular accident that involved three vehicles in the San Fernando Valley, near the North Hills area. The accident tied up northbound traffic for nearly an hour near the Devonshire Street according to California Highway Patrol authorities.
The woman, a local of Woodland Hills, was taken to the Providence Holy Cross Medical Center because of pains she was experiencing on her left hand.
The multiple-vehicle crash occurred at 9:48 AM and involved a Nissan Pathfinder which was stopped in Lane 2 because of a flat tire. The owner of the Nissan Pathfinder stepped out of the car and tried to signal to the oncoming traffic to avoid him, but a Mercedes ML 350 hit the stopped car. The Mercedes then rolled over and then struck a Ford pickup truck.
Five out of seven northbound lanes were closed for an hour due to the accident.
