PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT – Teenager Struck, Killed by Pickup While Evading Arrest in Tustin

Tustin – Paul Quintanar, 19, was struck by a vehicle after fleeing from authorities, reports said.

According to police officers, they saw the victim with another teenager behind a 7-Eleven Store in Red Hill and Nisson Road. When they searched Quintanar, cannabis (marijuana) was found in his possession.

Quintanar backed away and ran towards the northbound side of Red Hill, and was struck in one of the lanes of southbound I-5.

Witnesses said that a dark colored Toyota pickup struck Quintanar in the head, while another vehcle, a Chevy Silverado, ran over his arm.

Quintanar died on the spot.

Police authorities are still looking for the driver of the Toyota.
