Teen Motorcyclist Dies in Collision

Anaheim Hills, OC- Teen motorcyclist was killed on Monday morning from injuries he suffered after he was struck by a vehicle.
Brenden Shanks, 17, of Anaheim was traveling westbound on Santa Ana Canyon Road driving his green motorcycle when a vehicle traveling eastbound of Santa Ana Canyon Road turned left to Maude Lane in front of him.
The vehicle was identified as gray Chrysler Sebring and the woman who was driving it was not named.
According to a report, the collision occurred at 11:12 a.m.
Shanks, who was wearing a helmet and borrowed the motorcycle from a friend incurred injuries and was taken to the Western Medical Center in Santa Ana and died four hours later.
However, the driver was not reported to have suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, the cause is still under investigation and it was unclear if speed was the cause of the collision.
