According to authorities, the teen was lying in the middle of the street and was wearing headphones when a Chevrolet ran over him.
Reports said that the driver stopped and reported the accident to the authorities.
The accident occurred near Regginald Way and Taylor Street in Sacramento suburb of Natomas.
