BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Teen Bicyclist Seriously Injured near School

Sacramento– A 17-year-old girl biking near California Middle School Tuesday morning was seriously injured after being hit by a passing vehicle in Land Park, authorities said.
According to reports, the bicyclist was heading west on Vallejo Way around 8:45 am when she hit the door of a parked vehicle that was suddenly opened by a child. The impact caused the teen to bounce off and be hit by a passing vehicle.
The female bicyclist landed on the street and was transported to a hospital where she is expected to recover from her injuries.
