DUI CAR ACCIDENT: Suspected Drunken, Hit-and-Run Teenage Driver Arrested after Madera Crash

Madera - Authorities have arrested a 16-year-old boy from Madera on suspicion of hit-and-run and drunk driving after his car hit another vehicle and cause serious injuries to its driver.
According to reports, the teen was traveling eastbound along Avenue 14 in a 1995 Toyota Avalon when he suddenly hit a 1993 Jeep Cherokee that was moving north on Road 29.
Reports said the teen left the accident area after the crash. He was arrested by the authorities at his house shortly after the incident.
The Jeep driver who was identified as Juan Ramirez, 58, also from Madera, was airlifted to a local hospital to receive immediate medical treatment for major injuries.
Authorities said the teen driver and his 16-year-old passenger were unharmed in the accident.
