VEHICLE COLLISION: Suspected Drunken Driver Arrested after Colliding with Pickup Truck

Riverside County - A male Toyota Tacoma truck driver has been arrested for felony driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol after he collided with a Dodge pickup truck, said reports.
California Highway Patrol officers are still investigating the accident, which occurred in Beaumont at around 5:45 p.m. The driver, who was identified as Darrin Hammer, failed to stop at a red light along the intersection of Bellflower and Brookside Avenues.
According to authorities, the vehicle then turned left, blocked the path of the pickup truck, and collided with it. The impact caused the pickup to veer off the roadway, hit a concrete guardrail, and roll over.
Reports said both the Toyota and Dodge drivers sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, a female pickup truck passenger was brought to Riverside Regional Medical Center to be treated for major chest, abdominal, and head injuries.
