CAR ACCIDENT: Suspected DUI Driver Arrested after Starting Chase

Encinitas - Authorities have arrested a suspected DUI driver who led them on a chase that ended in Orange County.
According to reports, an old male Lincoln sedan driver allegedly hit a stopped vehicle along Interstate 5 and fled the area after the incident.
Both Border Patrol agents and California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers failed to stop the driver as he passed near the San Onofre checkpoint.
The vehicle finally stopped moving along north of Junipero Serra Road when a spike strip flattened all of its tires.
Reports said the man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and evading arrest. He was then booked into a San Diego County prison.
No one was reportedly harmed in the incident.
