Solo Crash Leaves Driver Critical
May 14, 2009
Vista – The driver in Wednesday night’s single-vehicle crash sustained major injuries after she lost control of her vehicle near Escondido Avenue, authorities said.
The unidentified 48-year-old woman was driving west ward along Eucalyptus Avenue before 8p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve and went off road. She then hit three trees and a pole before her vehicle came to a stop near Lincoln Middle School.
The woman was unconscious and authorities had to extricate her from her vehicle. She was brought to a nearby hospital as she sustained major injuries.
Authorities are now looking into the possibility of intoxication that might have been a factor in the accident.
