Seven are Critical in Pileup that Injured Twelve

Sun Valley – Seven out of the twelve people hurt in multi-vehicular crash Wednesday near Sherman Way are still in critical condition, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident that happened at around 1 a.m. involved at least four vehicles on the southbound lanes of Hollywood Freeway. Firefighters had to extricate two motorists from their vehicles.

Reports indicate that eleven adults and a minor were taken to the hospital for treatments of their injuries.

A witness said that other vehicles involved in the crash have fled before authorities got to the scene.

All southbound lanes of State Route 170 were closed as authorities investigate and clear the scene.
