SUV Rolls Over, Kills Passenger

Vista – A passenger of a rolled-over Toyota 4-Runner succumbed to injuries Friday night near Santa Clara Drive, authorities said.
Oceanside man Lorenzo Gabriel Lopez-Gonzales, 45, was thrown out of the vehicle after the suspected drunk driver lost control of the vehicle.
The eastbound SUV was travelling along on West Vista Way at around 11:30 p.m. when the accident happened. Gonzales died shortly before he was transported to a hospital.
The 26-year-old driver, Jesus Fernandez Alonzo, sustained minor injuries and was brought to Palomar Medical Center.
Reports indicate that Alonzo was arrested Saturday morning on vehicular manslaughter charge and is also suspected to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
