DROWNING ACCIDENT: SF Couple Drown near Ocean Beach

San Francisco – A couple had reportedly drowned when their boat capsized off the coast of Pillar point, about 20 miles south of Golden Gate.
Authorities have identified the fatalities as Jeffrey Easterling, 59 years old, and his wife, Beth, 50-year old. Both have sailing experience.
The couple was allegedly practicing for a long cruise they were planning to undertake in the future.
Witnesses said they saw the 33-foot Barcarolle sailboat in distress at the around 4 pm that afternoon.
Police believed the accident was caused by a rogue wave that had swept the ship overboard.
