CAR COLLISION: Running a Stop Sign Kills Woman in Hanford

Hanford – A 39-year-old woman died Wednesday morning after running a stop sign and hitting another vehicle northeast of Hanford, authorities said.

Reports show that the woman was heading east along Flint Avenue on her 1991 Cutlass Ciera at around 10 am when she ran a red light. The Ciera then hit a southbound 2007 Chevrolet pickup along Sixth Avenue injuring the Visalia driver.

The 27-year-old pickup driver identified as Brian McCutcheon sustained minor injuries. The woman died at the scene, her identity is yet to be released pending family notification.
