Road Rage kills 57-Year-Old Biker

August 11, 2009

Camarillo - A 57-year-old motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a motor home and dragged about 75-feet on US Highway 101Monday afternoon in a bloody conclusion to a road-rage encounter in Camarillo.

Witnesses and the 68-year-old motor home driver, who was identified as Michael Antoine, told CHP officials that the biker made obscene hand gestures before pulling in front of the motor home and suddenly hitting the brakes.

According to CHP Officer Terry Uhrich, Antoine was driving at about 55 mph in the southbound lane in Camarillo and was not able to avoid slamming into the bike.

The motorcycle was impaled on the motor home.

The biker, whose name is being withheld, was thrown under the motor home and dragged about 75 feet before coming loose in travel lanes.
