TRUCK ACCIDENT: Riverside Tuck Driver Acquitted of Felony Charges from 2006 Truck Accident

June 15, 2010

Rancho Cucamonga – A 30-year-old truck driver has been acquitted of felony vehicle manslaughter following a truck accident that killed one person last 2006.

Adam Ahlberg of Riverside was acquitted by a San Bernardino County of the felony charge yesterday.

The truck accident in question happened in 2006 when the truck that Ahlberg was driving had brake failure.

Ahlberg lost control of the truck and it ran downhill up to 70 mph beating red lights and stop signs.

The truck finally stopped after colliding with a city car that was being driven by Rancho Cucamonga employee Angel Calzada, who was killed shortly after the crash.

According to Ahlberg’s testimonies, he thought car mechanics had repaired the brakes of the truck.

The jury is still split on whether Ahlberg is guilty of the misdemeanor manslaughter charge and the prosecutors are still considering whether to try Ahlberg again or not.
