MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Porterville Officer Hurt in Motorcycle Crash

Porterville – A police officer suffered moderate injuries Sunday after a vehicle struck his motorcycle on Lowery Street and Pioneer Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to reports, Officer Rick Carillo of Porterville was heading east along Pioneer Avenue when a Chrysler driven by Vanessa Diane Trevino, 22, appeared at the intersection and crashed onto his motorcycle.
CHP says Trevino, who was northbound on Lowery Street, accidentally drove her vehicle into a northwesterly direction, hitting the approaching motorcycle.
The officer was ejected from his motorbike and suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to Sierra View District Hospital for treatment. He was released on the same day, police reports.
