VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Pickup Driver Dies in Costa Mesa Solo Crash

Costa Mesa - A pickup truck driver died after he went down the side of southbound 73 and crashed into a tree, said California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.
According to reports, the accident occurred along south of the 55 at around 1:43 pm. When firefighters and CHP units arrived at the scene, they found the man trapped inside his pickup truck.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle and was then brought to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he died.
Reports said authorities have not yet released details regarding the victim’s identity.
