PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Pedestrian Injured after Trying to Cross Golden State Freeway

Boyle Heights – Authorities are currently investigating a pedestrian accident that injured one person on the Golden State Freeway in Boyle Heights yesterday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at around 11:00pm when an unidentified pedestrian tried to run across the freeway.
The person never made it on the other side as he was struck by a vehicle on the northbound lane of the freeway.
There is no information about the condition of the victim but reports said that he was awake and alert while being transported to the hospital.
The CHP temporarily closed two northbound lanes of the freeway for investigation.
There is also no information as to why the person tried to cross the freeway.
