Pedestrian Dies from Crash Injuries

Huntington Beach – A 67-year-old Garden Grove man was killed Friday morning after being struck on Warner Street as he was crossing the street, authorities said.
According to reports, Jorge Salazarleon, from Huntington Beach, was driving at 5:56 a.m. in a Land Rover when he hit a northbound pedestrian crossing the street.
The unidentified pedestrian suffered fatal head injuries and was brought to Huntington Beach Hospital where he later died.
Salazarleon did not suffer any injuries from the crash. No charges are filed yet against him.
Authorities are yet to release the victim’s identity pending notification of his family. They are convinced that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
