Passenger dies in Rollover Accident

Fresno, CA. - A Sanger man suffered fatal head injuries after the vehicle he was riding turned over near American Avenue Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports indicate that the driver of the vehicle, Miguel Gomez, was heading south at 9:49 a.m. when his 1999 Chevy veered to the east along Newmark Avenue.

Gomez then tried to go back to the lane before it rolled onto its wheels in the middle of the road.

Both Gomez and the unidentified man were reportedly wearing seatbelts. Gomez sustained minor injuries while his passenger died on the scene, the CHP said.

Authorities arrested Gomez on some charges including suspicions of intoxicated driving that has resulted to the rollover accident.
