BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Oscar-nominated Singer Florence Welch's Dad Injured in Bike Crash

Los Angeles - Hollywood artist Florence Welch was worrying on her father's bike crash injuries as she performed at the Academy Awards on Sunday.

The acclaimed British singer sang "If I Rise" with A.R. Rahman on stage. The song was nominated for Best Song Oscar, but lost to Randy Newman's "We Belong Together", reports said.

According to reports, Welch confessed after the event that her father suffered head and spinal cord injuries at a bicycle accident last week. Her father, Nick Welch, was scheduled to undergo surgery this Monday morning.

Florence Welch has been known for her critically-acclaimed performance with her band, Florence and the Machine. Their debut album, Lungs, topped the UK Album Chart in 2010 and won the Mastercard British Album award. The band received nomination in 53rd Grammy Awards for Best New Artist.
