DUI ACCIDENT: One Dead, Five Injured in San Buenaventura Hit-and-Run Accident

San Buenaventura — A suspected drunken driver has been arrested after he committed a series of hit-and-run accidents on Telegraph Road while driving a Hummer, said reports.
The 49-year-old driver, Satnam Singh, was driving near La Jolla Street at around 6:50 pm when he struck a woman and her 13-year-old daughter who were cycling, causing them to sustain severe injuries.
The vehicle did not stop and continued westbound where it hit a pickup at the rear, severely smashing its back. A couple and their 16-year-old son inside the pickup suffered from minor injuries.
Reports said the driver left immediately and continued along Telegraph Road where he eventually hit a 20-year-old college student cycling in the bike lane. The student died due to the incident.
Ventura authorities, together with the college student’s companion, chased the driver to his home, where he was found stuck in the driver’s seat of his damaged vehicle.
