PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Oakland woman struck, killed by DUI driver

Berkeley – A suspected DUI driver was arrested Wednesday night shortly after a car accident involving a 58-year-old Oakland woman.
The woman was crossing a street in Berkeley when an Oakland man driving his car struck and killed her said Berkeley police spokesperson Andrew Frankel.
The victim, whose name was not released, was crossing Adeline Street at Harmon Street when the suspect heading south of Adeline hit her, police said.
Jesse Donald Kelly, 42, was apprehended and taken into custody facing charges of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated Frankel said.
Police continue with investigations of the accident.
