Neocate Recalled from Stores

Rockville, Maryland - A blending mistake was done with Neocate, a specialized infant formula that led Nutricia North America, Inc. to recall and replace the products the other day.

There were about 3,700 cans taken that were brought to stores from September 1 to 11. It is a hypoallergenic dry powder. It is not for general used and only used on infants by medicine professionals.

There were lower protein levels compared to the other products and what was printed on the labels. There were no reported risks and no reports of any effect on consumers’ nutrition. But long term consumption may affect the growth of infants.
