CAR ACCIDENT: Mountain View Man Killed in Single-Car Accident

Cupertino – A 21-year-old man was instantly killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning when his sport-utility car drove off Interstate 280 and crashed into several trees by the roadside, the California Highway Patrol said.
Kyle Simpson, 21, from Mountain View was driving his 2008 Ford SUV when he lost control of the vehicle, drove off the road near North Blaney Avenue, and collided with several trees, according to the CHP. Simpson was pronounced dead on the spot, police says.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the accident. Any witnesses are asked to contact the San Jose police.
