MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Motorcyclist Hurt in I-5 Crash while Trying to Avoid Animal

February 24, 2011

Irvine - A male motorcycle has been hurt in a crash while trying to avoid a small animal that suddenly darted in front of his path along the eastbound Bake Parkway on-ramp to the northbound I-5, said California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.

According to reports, the accident was reported at around 9:02 a.m.

The unnamed motorcyclist ended up in the No. 1 lane. Police said a big-rig that was traveling along the area stopped behind him in order to block the traffic.

The motorcyclist was treated at the accident area, but refused to acquire additional medical assistance, said reports.
