MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Motorcyclist Crashes onto Pole, Dies

Fresno – A 20-year-old motorist was killed near Manning Avenue after crashing into a power pole Wednesday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities identified the fatality as Jacob Verwey, of Fresno. Police said Verwey was driving along Jameson Avenue when he crashed into the pole in a vineyard at about 8pm. He died at the scene.
No other person was reported injured. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
