Manteca Man Sustains No Major Injuries after Being Hit by Train

Manteca – A 30-year-old Manteca man was struck by a train and miraculously survived without sustaining any life-threatening injuries.
According to Manteca Police, Jack Swanson was walking along the Union Pacific tracks, which is between Yosemite Boulevard and South Main Street, when he noticed a train approaching.
Swanson moved away from the tracks and thought he was far enough when he was struck by the train and was dragged 50 feet.
Police said Swanson was able to get help by walking back to Yosemite Boulevard.
He sustained a six-inch cut along his left arm and may also have fractured some bones.
He was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
