Sacramento – A 42-year-old man was hit and killed by a train near Highway 50 overpass Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Reports indicate that the man identified as Alfred Warren Barnes was walking on the tracks west of Ramona Avenue around 1:30 pm when an approaching northbound train hit him.
Railroad authorities are set to conduct the investigation regarding the fatal accident.
