MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Man killed in West LA hit-and-run crash

Los Angeles - A motorcyclist died after a hit-and-run accident in West Los Angeles Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
A 2007 BMW driver was traversing west of Jefferson Boulevard when he made a sudden turn onto southbound Mesmer Avenue. The driver hit the motorcyclist and fled the accident scene, according to Los Angeles police reports.
The responding policemen said that the motorcyclist was found lying on the road near his crashed motorcycle. The car driver neither stopped nor helped the victim.
Rescuers arrived and transported the rider to a local hospital, but the victim was pronounced dead.
Authorities are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
