Man in Coachella Rollover Crash Arrested by Authorities

Coachella, California — Police say that man was arrested after he allegedly walked away from a rollover crash on Highway 111 wherein one of his passengers was killed while another passenger was critically injured.
Coroner’s officials said that the two men were ejected from their seats due to the accident, one among them who is Manual Bretorn, 23, of Indio, died after an hour at the Desert Regional Medical Center located in Palm Springs.
The other man, who is in his late 20s, was hospitalized at the medical center, wherein he is in a “very critical condition,” said Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Frank
Authorities did not state if the two men were wearing their seatbelts during the accident.
Jose Melcher Felix, 27, of Thermal is believed to be the driver of the late-model Jeep Cherokee that overturned south of Tyler Street, said Taylor
Coachella police arrested Felix and he was booked on charges of leaving the scene of a collision, vehicular manslaughter, and driving without a valid driver’s license.
