TRAIN ACCIDENT: Light Rail Transit Accident in Rancho Cordova Injures One Person

Rancho Cordova – One person was injured after a light rail train and a pick-up truck collided in Rancho Cordova this morning.
The train accident occurred in the intersection of Starfire Drive and Folsom Boulevard at about 10:15 am after a pick-up truck struck the side of a moving Regional light rail train.
The train did not sustain any major damage but only some scratches while the pick-up truck had to be towed away from the scene.
One person in the train sustained minor injuries and was given medical attention on the scene.
The two occupants of the pick-up truck were uninjured in the incident.
