TRUCK ACCIDENT: LAPD Off-Duty Officer Dies in H-101 Pickup Crash

Los Angeles - A Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) off-duty officer was killed after the pickup truck driving crashed at 101 Freeway on Saturday at 3:20 a.m., reports said.
Southwest Station Officer Jose Diance-Cruz (23) was traversing eastbound of Van Nuys Boulevard when he veered off the roadway and crashed the pick up onto a guardrail. He was seen belted from the ejected driver's seat, reports said.
Authorities transported Cruz to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead two hours after arrival.
Details on the cause of accident are still under investigation.
