Jeep injures girl, remains in critical condition

Fresno, CA – An 11-year-old student of Maple Creek Elementary was injured and is now in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center after being hit by a car in northeast Fresno Monday.
According to Fresno police, the accident, which injured Madeline Greenler, happened when the driver of a Jeep ran through a signal light at Teague and Cedar avenues that was not working due to a power outage.
The Jeep was heading south on Cedar when it hit a van that was heading west on Teague, spinning onto the sidewalk, and hitting Greenler.
The accident is still under investigation.
