PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: JFK High School Student Seriously Injured when Hit by Car

La Palma - A 16-year-old John F. Kennedy High School student has been seriously injured after she was hit by a car while walking towards the school, said reports.
The girl was on a marked crosswalk along the intersection of Watson Street and Crescent Avenue shortly before 7:00 a.m. when she was suddenly hit by a vehicle that was moving west on Crescent.
Reports said the girl was rushed to Long Beach Memorial Hospital, where she was declared under critical condition.
Authorities questioned the driver at the accident area, which was closed for hours to give way to the investigation.
