San Luis Obispo – A 53-year-old man will be charged for driving under the influence after he crashed his pickup on Highway 101, Wednesday evening, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to officers, Criag A. Stahl, 53, entered Highway 101 at Higuera Street driving his 1999 Ford F-250 pickup at about 10:58 p.m. when he suddenly turned and lost control of it.
The pickup crossed all the southbound lanes and hit the center divider, where it turned over to its side, causing its roof to crash into the guardrail.
Stahl suffered severe injuries in the accident and was brought to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment, the CHP said.
Once recovered, Stahl will be cited and possibly charged fines for driving under the influence of alcohol.
