HEAD-ON COLLISION: Humboldt County CHP Officer Injured in Head-On Collision

Humboldt County- A Humboldt County California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer has sustained minor injuries when he collided head-on with another car along Highway 101 near the Mendocino County line, said reports.
According to authorities, the CHP officer identified as Michael Phillips, from Redway, was moving northbound near Benbow Lake when his patrol car was suddenly hit by a car being driven by Marja Hale, 47, from Eureka.
Hale was moving southbound when she suddenly lost control of the vehicle, causing her to swerve into the opposite lane and to collide with the officer. She also sustained minor injuries due to the accident, said authorities.
