Hit-and-Run in Highland Park Injures 4-Year-Old Boy
January 26, 2012HIGHLAND PARK – A hit-and-run occurred Wednesday night in Highland Park, California, seriously injuring a 4-year-old boy, reports said.
The accident happened around 8 PM on South Avenue 54 and South Terrace 52 Streets.
According to reports, the 4-year-old boy ran out into the street and was struck by the running car. The boy’s family members saw the accident.
They said that the driver stopped for a while before fleeing the scene.
The 4-year-old boy sustained serious injuries and was taken to USC County Medical Center for immediate treatment, reports said.
Police are still searching for the driver who struck the boy. According to reports, he is described as wearing a baseball cap, and was last seen driving a 1999 or 2000 white Ford F150 with a camper shell and pink taillights.
