UTV ACCIDENT: Groom Dies Hours after Reception in UTV Crash

Dover Plains- A groom died in an Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) accident shortly after his reception in Sherman, Connecticut on Saturday at 11:30 p.m.
According to reports, Christopher Hoag was driving the ATV near the hotel when it crashed into a tree and rolled over. Nicholas Hoag, his passenger and a groom who had just been at his reception hours earlier, sustained blunt force trauma.
Paramedics arrived and transported the brothers to New Milford Hospital in Connecticut. The groom was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Christopher was treated for non-life threatening injuries, reports said.
Police officers cited Christopher for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) violation.
Reports said Nicholas and his bride, Amber Sartori, exchanged vows at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Sherman, Connecticut. They held the reception at a nearby hotel. Sartori is a registered nurse and had been with Nicholas for five years.
