ATV ACCIDENT: Grandfather and Grandson Injured in Quad Accident

Fresno - A grandfather and his grandson were injured after a quad accident on South Reservation Road on Wednesday at 2:45 p.m.
The 49-year-old man was riding a 2006 Honda Quad with his 11 year-old grandson when he crashed onto a sign and fence. The two suffered major injuries and were transported to hospital, according to California Highway Patrol reports.
Reports said that the quad driver, Johnny Arias, was speeding on South Reservation Road when he swerved left to avoid a slower vehicle. The ATV crashed onto a sign and fence and ejected the two.
CHP officers commented that the two were not wearing helmets at the time of accident.
The young boy, Edward Hunter, underwent surgery at Community Regional Medical Center and was in stable condition. On the other hand, Arias was treated at Sierra View District Hospital wherein no further details on his condition were disclosed.
Authorities are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
